As I ponder our current events, the saying of Maya Angelou comes to mind, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” There are actions of people that are often overlooked and/or ignored. Because of the disregarded actions, the conduct is often repeated. Consequently, setting up a volcanic like eruption that is inevitable. According to experts, a volcanic eruption is one of the most dangerous and magnificent disasters. The eruption provides routes for material deep beneath the Earth’s surface to escape to the surface. It is very dangerous and can cause a lot of damage to property and human life. Hmm. This sounds similar to the actions that we just experienced. In other words, the true feeling that is deep beneath the skin of our adversaries rose to the surface and posed danger to all in the path whether property or human. This recent disaster is a result of hot lava (operative word) building up for almost four years that finally erupted. When you find yourself in a volcanic situation, refer to your evacuation route and instructions and put your emergency plan into action. The evacuation route is clear as written in Psalm 119:105, “Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.” Follow God’s word (or evacuation plan) as it pertains to your specific circumstances. The bible speaks to any situation that you may be experiencing. There is nothing new under the sun. After you have consulted God’s way out for your situation, then refer to Proverbs 3:6 “Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Be diligent about the instructions of the Bible for what you are going through. AGAIN, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” That will prevent a lot of lava in your life. Suggested Verses 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it. John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful. Job 5:8 But as for me, I would seek God, And I would place my cause before God;
